The next generation of handheld console gaming is officially coming to the Philippines. Digital Walker has announced that the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 will launch locally and officially on June 26, 2025, with pre-orders beginning today, June 11. Filipino gamers can secure the new console from the official retailer, ensuring they receive local warranty and support.
Digital Walker is offering two options for prospective buyers. The standalone Nintendo Switch 2 console is priced at PHP 31,990. For those looking to dive into a new adventure right out of the box, a bundle including the console and a physical copy of the exclusive launch title, Mario Kart World, is available for PHP 35,500.

Purchasing through an authorized retailer like Digital Walker provides significant advantages, most notably in after-sales service. All units pre-ordered from Digital Walker come with a two-year extended warranty, offering customers peace of mind and reliable hardware support.
A Leap in Performance and Visuals
The Nintendo Switch 2 represents a major evolution from its predecessor, boasting significant upgrades across the board. The console features a larger, more vibrant 7.9-inch 1080p LCD touchscreen that supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) and frame rates up to 120 fps for incredibly smooth gameplay.

At its core is a custom T239 processor by NVIDIA, featuring an eight-core ARM Cortex A78C CPU and an Ampere architecture GPU with 1,536 CUDA cores. This is a substantial upgrade from the original Switch’s four-core CPU and 256 CUDA cores5. The system is equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, a major increase that promises faster loading times and more complex game environments. Internal storage has also been expanded to 256 GB, with support for microSD Express cards up to 2 TB for further expansion.
When connected to a television via the redesigned dock, the Nintendo Switch 2 can output games at up to 4K (3840×2160) resolution at a smooth 60 frames per second, provided the game and TV are compatible.
Reimagined Controllers and New Ways to Play
The console introduces the reimagined Joy-Con 2 controllers, which now attach to the main unit via secure magnetic connectors. Each controller is equipped with an accelerometer and gyroscope and can uniquely function as a mouse in compatible games.

The package includes the console, a pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers (Light Blue and Light Red), the new Nintendo Switch 2 Dock, a Joy-Con 2 Grip, two Joy-Con 2 Straps, an AC adapter, a USB-C charging cable, and an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable.
Nintendo is also enhancing the social experience with GameChat, a new feature for seamless voice chat with friends. The console has a built-in microphone designed to filter out background noise for clear communication. The system retains its signature three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld.
The launch bundle’s exclusive title, Mario Kart World, invites players to race across a vast, interconnected open world featuring diverse environments from grassy plains to bustling cities. The game supports up to four players on a single system and online races with up to 24 players. The console will also support compatible games from the original Nintendo Switch library, though full compatibility may vary by title.
