Apple scheduled Worldwide Developers Conference 2025 (WWDC 2025) from June 9 to 13. During which, it is expected to unveil the latest updates to its operating systems like iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

However, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, this year’s conference may not be as exciting as previous years.

WWDC 2025 – Report

Gurman states in his newsletter that there are unlikely to be any major hardware or software announcements this year. Moreover, some Apple employees feel that the event may be disappointing for those who are looking forward to AI announcements.

Reports claim that Apple will focus on its on-device foundation models with about 3 billion parameters. These models will focus on tasks like summarizing texts and auto-correcting.

Gurman claims that there will be an update on Swift Assist and that SwiftUI will feature a rich text editor.

Moreover, it is expected that the company will unveil revamped software platforms across iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and the rest of its operating systems. This includes a new visionOS-inspired glass-like design with more translucent interface elements for its menus, buttons, and icons.

IOS 26 is also believed to have a new battery power management mode, a revamped Translate app, and AI-powered features in Safari and Photos.

WWDC 2025 will take place from June 9 to 13, with the keynote set to take place on June 9 at 10 AM PDT. With about a week to go until this, we really don’t expect to learn more from Apple as it has historically kept these under wraps until the event itself.
