Apple just concluded the Worldwide Developers Conference 2025 (WWDC 2025) keynote, wherein it unveiled the latest updates to its operating systems like iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, and watchOS 26. At the center of these was a new design language named Liquid Glass.

Apple – Liquid Glass

Liquid Glass is Apple’s new material inspired by visionOS. It is translucent and behaves like glass in the real world and intelligently adapts between light and dark environments. The new material was announced to be shared across its new operating systems.

It extends to both small elements like the buttons, switches, sliders, text, and media controls, and large elements like tab bars and sidebars. Additionally, you’ll be able to experience it on the Lock Screen, Home Screen, notifications, Control Center, and more.

Tab bars and sidebars, under the new Liquid Glass material, have been redesigned. Tab bars shrink to bring focus to the content while keeping navigation accessible. Meanwhile, sidebars will refract the content behind them.

These updated design elements have been rolled out to Camera, Photos, Safari, FaceTime, Apple Music, and more.

That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
