JBL has officially introduced its newest lineup of party speakers and portable audio devices to the Philippine market, showcasing its continued innovation in audio technology, featuring enhanced connectivity options and improved performance capabilities.
PartyBox Series: Powering Large-Scale Entertainment
The lineup is headed by the JBL PartyBox 520, which stands as the most powerful battery-powered speaker in the PartyBox series. Designed for substantial gatherings, it delivers exceptional audio performance while maintaining portability through its IPX4 splashproof design and practical transport features which include a rugged telescopic handle and reinforced wheels.
The PartyBox 520 also delivers up to 15 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. With replaceable batteries and fast-charging capabilities, it ensures uninterrupted entertainment. The device also boasts JBL’s proprietary AI Sound Boost, which analyzes audio signals in real-time to optimize driver performance, for a more powerful sound output with reduced distortion. It also supports Auracast, enabling seamless pairing with other compatible JBL speakers to create comprehensive sound systems.
JBL also launched the JBL PartyBox Encore 2 and JBL PartyBox Encore Essential 2. Both models incorporate Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio technology for superior streaming quality and redesigned ergonomic handles for enhanced portability. The JBL Flip 7 offers practical features for active lifestyles with an interchangeable finger loop and carabiner hook system, facilitating secure attachment during outdoor activities. Technical improvements include AI Sound Boost technology for enhanced bass response without distortion and an upgraded dome tweeter design for clearer high-frequency reproduction.
Durability has been improved with an IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating, while battery life goes up to 16 hours of playback through Playtime Boost technology. It also boasts Bluetooth 5.4 for more reliable wireless performance while Auracast enables multi-speaker synchronization with other compatible JBL devices.
The JBL Charge 6 offers a redesigned approach to portability with its detachable and versatile handle strap system. The speaker incorporates AI Sound Boost technology and an upgraded woofer for enhanced bass response. It offers up to 28 hours of battery life when utilizing Playtime Boost technology and also supports Auracast connectivity for multi-speaker configurations.
Smart Home Integration: JBL Horizon 3
The JBL Horizon 3 represents JBL’s entry into the smart bedside audio category, combining traditional alarm clock functionality with advanced audio capabilities. The device features dual 1.5-inch full-range transducers enhanced by passive radiators for room-filling sound reproduction.
Beyond audio performance, the Horizon 3 integrates wellness-focused features including ambient lighting systems and nature-inspired soundscapes such as ocean waves. The sunrise alarm function is designed to support circadian rhythm regulation, while the device offers various relaxation sounds for sleep preparation. The JBL Charge 6 and Flip 7 are available at PHP 10,999 and PHP 7,999 respectively, both offering extensive color options including Black, Blue, Funky Black, Pink, Purple, Red, Sand, Squad, and White variants.
The PartyBox Encore 2 is priced at PHP 24,999, while the flagship PartyBox 520 is positioned at PHP 42,999. The PartyBox Encore Essential 2 is priced at PHP 18,999, and the Horizon 3 retails for PHP 7,699. Models not currently available are scheduled for retail release by June 2025.
