Samsung Philippines has lifted the curtains off its newest A-Series devices – the Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A56 5G. Both offer nifty upgrades from their predecessors and are equipped with handy AI features that let you get things done faster and easier, while bringing out your most creative side.
Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A56 5G

Both devices are thinner and lighter than the previous generation and boast a larger 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits of peak brightness.

The Galaxy A36 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while the Galaxy A56 5G packs an Exynos 1580. Both come in two configurations – 8GB of RAM with either 128 or 256GB of storage.

For optics, both use a triple rear camera configuration composed of a 50MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 5MP macro unit for the Galaxy A36 5G, while the Galaxy A56 5G uses the same setup except for a 12MP ultrawide. Both also have a 12MP front camera.

Both run on One UI 7 on top of Android 15 with a promise of six OS updates and six years of security upgrades. You also get a 5,000mAh battery on both devices, with support for 45W Fast Charging.
Awesome Intelligence
Awesome Intelligence has made its way to the A-Series, including the familiar Circle-to-Search feature, which can also search for music, AI Select for creating GIFs from videos, calling phone numbers, and extracting text, Best Face, and the enhanced Object Eraser for removing photobombers.
Enhanced Security and Privacy
Samsung is further enhancing robust security and privacy. With Samsung Knox Vault, the Galaxy A series provides an additional fortified layer of device safety, transparency, and user choice – ensuring sensitive data always remains protected.
Thanks to One UI 7.0’s security and privacy features, users can benefit from comprehensive protection — including improvements in Auto Blocker, Theft Detection, More Security Settings, and other features.
