Huawei has showcased its tri-fold device – the HUAWEI Mate XT along with the latest wearable and tablet innovations at Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC 2025). In addition, the event also featured various other high-end, fashion-forward, and technology-driven flagship products from Huawei.

Attendees were particularly excited to see the HUAWEI Mate XT, the world’s first commercial tri-fold smartphone, which first debuted last month at a launch event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The device features proprietary hinge and screen technologies that have allowed the company to build a phone where the screen folds inward on one hinge and outward on another. Moreover, the HUAWEI Mate XT equipped with a 10-size adjustable physical aperture camera.

At the HUAWEI Consumer BG booth, a large screen utilizing naked-eye 3D effects further showcased the merits of the HUAWEI Mate XT. The Intelligence Scenario experience zone allowed attendees to get a firsthand experience of features including Multi-exposure and AI Retouch.

The HUAWEI Mate X6 area took on a novel approach by showcasing some of the innovative materials that go into the phone. Attendees were invited to cut ice with a sheet of graphene, to experience the thermal conductivity of the material.

Discovering Next-Level Health Monitoring with HUAWEI Wearables

Last September, the HUAWEI TruSense System was launched which not only monitors health and fitness data but also analyzes users’ health status. The system, featured at MWC 2025, is a thorough revamp of the company’s previous health metrics system.

Huawei simulated real-life sports and health scenarios in the booth. In the cycling experience area, participants were able to experience the fast and accurate vital sign monitoring capabilities of the TruSense System by comparing real-time heart rate data from professional sports heart rate monitors with heart rate data captured by the HUAWEI Watch GT 5.

In the Health Glance zone, visitors witnessed a demonstration of the multiple health indicators measured by the HUAWEI Watch D2. Huawei also brought a lineup of smart wearables that offer a premium on-wrist experience with stylish design and smart features.

Creating Beyond Imagination with GoPaint on HUAWEI MatePad Tablets

Huawei set its sights on both professional and aspiring creatives with the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025 with the flexible OLED PaperMatte Display. The display is a proprietary standard for HUAWEI tablet displays that deliver vibrant colors while minimizing glare. It also gives a pen-on-paper writing and drawing experience.

The HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd generation) is intended for use with the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025 and lets you make the most out of GoPaint’s extensive virtual brushes.

At the convention in Barcelona, the GoPaint experience zone attracted crowds with an exhibition of works created by artists from around the world using the GoPaint software. The app is powered by a professional brush engine and FangTian Painting Engine 2.0.

The HUAWEI Mate X6 was introduced locally in 2024, while the HUAWEI Mate XT and MatePad Pro 13.2-inch are now also available in the Philippines.
