MediaTek has just announced its latest midrange chipset – the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. The new chipset is the successor of the Dimensity 6100+.

The Dimensity 6300 is built on the TSMC 6nm process. It features two overclocked Cortex-A76 cores running up to 2.4GHz coming from 2.2GHz of the 6100+. These are joined by six Cortex-A55 cores with clock speeds of up to 2.0GHz.

The new chipset is equipped with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU which is said to offer a 10% improvement compared to the chipset’s predecessor.

Moreover, it has MediaTek UltraSave 3.0+ technology for power saving as well as an integrated 5G modem. The latter is compliant with the 3GPP Release 16 standard.

Other features include support for LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, up to 1080×2520 resolution displays, up to 108MP main camera, and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
