For the 7th straight year, Smart Communications is partnering with game developer MOONTON Games for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines tournaments in 2024.
The partnership kicks off with MPL-PH Season 13 which started on March 15. Eight teams will battle it out – AP.Bren, Blacklist International, ECHO, Minana EVOS, ONIC Philippines, RSG Philippines, Smart Omega, and TNC Pro Team.
A new “The Gauntlet” playoff format is being introduced this season. The top 3 seeds advance straight to the Upper Bracket Semis, while the 5th and 6th place teams face off. The winner then challenges the 4th seed for the final Upper Bracket spot.
Smart’s partnership with MPL-PH allows them to stream all the playoffs and finals matches on their official Facebook page for Filipino esports fans. Special prizes and activities are also planned throughout the season.
