The wait is finally over for mobile gamers in the Philippines! ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially unveiled their latest and greatest gaming smartphones, the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro. This new flagship series goes beyond just gaming to deliver an incredible all-around multimedia experience.

Designed for Extreme Performance

Under the hood, the ROG Phone 8 lineup is no less than a beast, powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform with blisteringly fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The standard ROG Phone 8 packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro can be configured with up to a monstrous 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.

To keep thermals in check during extended gaming sessions, ASUS has also implemented a Rapid-Cooling Conductor design along with the all-new AeroActive Cooler X clip-on fan accessory. This compact yet very capable cooling system can reduce temperatures by up to 26°C.

A first for gaming phones, the entire ROG Phone 8 series now features an IP68 dust/water resistance rating, allowing you to game worry-free anywhere.

ROG Phone 8 Series houses a 5,500mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 5.0, PD Charging, and Qi 1.3 wireless charging.

Immersive Visuals and Audio

For smooth and fluid visuals, the ROG Phone 8 Pro has a stunning 6.78-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, 2500 nits peak brightness, and adaptive refresh rate from 1-120Hz.

The display uses LTPO technology to automatically adjust the refresh rate based on the content to improve battery efficiency, while HDR10+ certification ensures life-like colors and contrast.

Apart from incredible visuals, the device boasts equally impressive audio features. The ROG Phone 8 series supports the Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound technology with 24-bit/192kHz playback and a high dynamic range.

Photography Powerhouse

While primarily designed for gaming, the ROG Phone 8 lineup also doubles as an extremely capable camera phone. The triple rear camera system is headlined by a 50MP main shooter using a premium Sony sensor and 24mm wide lens.

There’s also a 3x telephoto camera with OIS for crisp zoomed shots, improved Night Photography mode, and up to 30x HyperClarity digital zoom. An ultrawide 13MP free-form lens camera rounds out the versatile setup.

Up front, you get an upgraded 32MP ultrawide selfie camera with 90-degree field of view for groufies. The RGBW sensor captures excellent low-light selfies too.
