Drawn in Group B with New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Chinese Taipei, Gilas faces home-and-away matchups starting Feb. 22 against Hong Kong and Feb. 25 versus Chinese Taipei. These games mark the first of six qualifying windows, where the top two teams from each of the six groups will advance to the 2025 Asia Cup in Qatar.

The Gilas squad will be led by the most successful coach in PBA history, Tim Cone, who aims to leverage the roster’s continuity to progress through the next round. Cone previously coached this core group to the Philippines’ first Asian Games gold medal in 61 years.

Gilas 12 consists of veteran PBA stars which include seven-time MVP June Mar Fajardo, Scottie Thompson, Dwight Ramos, and naturalized player Justin Brownlee, alongside promising young talents like Kai Sotto, CJ Perez, and Kevin Quiambao.
