Especially with the year-ending Winter Sale arriving just in time for bonuses and the holiday season, it is the perfect time to look for something to gift your gamer friend/loved one or yourself as a Christmas gift.

Let’s start with Gian, Gadget Pilipinas Founder and Managing Director and our resident gamer dad. He put together a list with a good mix of different single-player games which he thinks would be perfect to close out the year and maybe carry over to the new year.

Emman, Gadget Pilipinas Editor in Chief and the hardened horror genre veteran, on the other hand, not only recommends horror/zombie games but also includes some of his favorite anime games.
Among these include the new Resident Evil 4 Remake which he considers as the Best Survival Horror game this year and Scarlet Nexus with a riveting story told from two perspectives. There’s also Tales of Arise, a title that he thinks may enthrall you enough to invest many hours into.

My Dream Setup is one of these titles that allows you to design your digital room and desk. This is perfect for those looking to change up their own real-life rooms and haven’t quite yet figured out the layout and design to go for. There’s also the free game Viridi that lets you grow your own succulents in real-time. Yup, that’s it. Grow plants.

Of course, we can’t have a Steam Winter Sale 2023 recommendation without Grant, Gadget Pilipinas PC Review Lead. As someone who runs benchmarks so much for our PC hardware reviews, I’m not surprised to see some of the titles he uses in his recommendations.
Benchmarking isn’t the reason why he recommended these titles though. These are games that he, himself, thinks as actually good titles to play. This includes Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which he thinks is one of the best recent PC ports for graphics.
As our resident Star Wars fan, the list wouldn’t be complete without STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor.

These are mainly games that are below PHP 600 with Yakuza: Like a Dragon being the most expensive at PHP 539 but even so, is at 80% off.
A Little to the Left is another game I’m thinking of buying myself for days when I just want to unwind. If you’re curious, it is a cozy game that just lets you sort, stack, and organize household items. Bonus, there’s a mischievous cat that joins you in the game now and then.
