Semafor reported that in the letter, Spiro accused Meta of hiring former employees from Elon’s platform that allegedly still have access to the platform’s trade secrets and private information.

In addition, Elon Musk also added that “Competition is fine, and cheating is not” in a Tweet regarding this issue.

On the other hand, according to a former senior Twitter employee who spoke to Reuters, they do not know if any former employees are really working on Threads or at Meta.

Andy Stone, the spokesperson of Meta, said that these allegations are false because no former Twitter employees are present in their current roster.

As of 12 AM earlier today, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Threads now have more than 30 million sign-ups since launched yesterday. He revealed that the goal is to build the platform, reach 1 billion users, and then monetize.

Instagram Head, Adam Mosseri revealed that there are features that are in development including hashtags, search, and a feed for people you follow. He also said that the current priority of the team is the mobile apps but a web-based option is also in the pipeline.
