HONOR has just introduced the HONOR Magic V2 which the brand claims is the slimmest foldable to-date, measuring only 9.9mm thin when folded and 4.7mm unfolded. If you’ll remember, its latest foldable prior to this launch was the HONOR Magic VS.
For this smartphone, HONOR designed a gearless unibody hinge mechanism that uses 3D-printed titanium alloy for the cover, while its folding mechanism uses custom short screws for the hinge component. It’s also protected from accidental water splashes, thanks to P2i coating on its internals.
HONOR Magic V2 has a 7.92-inch LTPO OLED main display with HDR10+ support as well as a 6.43-inch 10-bit OLED cover screen that supports stylus input. Both screens boast 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which an overclocked Cortex-X3 prime core, along with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage for the regular variant and 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for the Ultimate Edition.
For optics, you get a 50MP main rear camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide unit, and a 20MP telephoto lens, also with OIS and delivers up to 2.5x optical zoom. There’s also a 16MP front camera on the main screen. It runs MagicOS 7.2 on top of Android 13 and packs a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 66W wired fast-charging.
