The newest iterations of the Redmi Note series have made their official debut in the Philippines today via a grand launch event. Welcome the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G
Heading the pack is the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G which has a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz Flow AMOLED display with Dolby Vision support and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 along with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
For optics, you get a 200MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP snapper at the front. There’s a 5,000mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge3 support.
Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G
In the middle ground is the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, which shares a lot with the Pro+. That means you’ll get the same 6.67-inch FHD+ Flow AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the same processor, Dimensity 1080, the same amount of RAM and storage.
While it also has an 8MP ultra-wide unit and a 2MP macro unit, it swaps out the 200MP main sensor with a 50MP IMX766 sensor with OIS. It also packs a 5,000mAh battery but only supports up 67W Turbo Charging.
Redmi Note 12
The base variant of the Redmi Note 12 series shares the same display size, resolution, and refresh rate with its more premium siblings, but only has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It’s also the only device among the three that packs a Qualcomm chip – a Snapdragon 685, along with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
For imaging, it’s got a 50MP main camera along with a 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro shooter. The front houses a 13MP snapper. It also has a 5,000mAh but only supports 33W fast charging.
