Furthermore, the 9200 also boasts the ARM Immortalis G715 GPU that has a hardware-based ray tracing engine. The new graphics unit has Variable Rate Shading (VRS), two times the machine learning performance compared to its predecessor, and ARM Fixed Rate Compression (AFRC) which reduces bandwidth usage.

The new chipset also brings the 6th gen APU 690 that delivers 35% improvement over its predecessor and it comes alongside LPDDR5X RAM that can support up to 8,533Mbps of memory and UF 4.0 storage.

Another feature this new chipset has is the Imagiq 890 ISP which aims to provide native support for RGBW sensors that brings 34% more power savings. This is also combined with MediaTek’s eXtreme Power Saving Technology which is an AI-based feature that is said to use 30% less power.

Here are the specs of the Dimensity 9200:

  • Process – TSMC 4nm (N4P)
  • Prime core – 1x Cortex-X3 @ 3.0 Ghz
  • Performance cores – 3x Cortex-A715 @ 2.85GHz
  • Efficiency cores – 4x Cortex-A510 cores @ 1.8GHz
  • GPU – ARM Immortalis-G715
  • RAM – LPDDR5x at up to 8,533Mbps
  • Storage – UFS 4.0
  • Connectivity – 5G Sub-6 GHz, mmWave, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.3
  • Display – 5K @ 60Hz, WHQD @ 144Hz, 1080p @ 240Hz

We can expect the first Dimensity 9200-powered devices before this year ends.
