You’ve probably seen the advertisements and the retailers setting them up. The OPPO Reno8 5G and Reno8 Z 5G, the company’s mid-range flagship, made their formal debut in the Philippines today.
The 6.4-inch AMOLED displays on both devices have a refresh rate of 60Hz on the Reno8 Z 5G while 90Hz is available on the Reno8 5G. Both run ColorOS 12.1 on top of Android 12. They have 4,500mAh batteries and feature SuperVOOC fast-charging at 33W on the Reno8 Z 5G and 80W on the Reno8 5G.
Reno8 Z 5G works on a Snapdragon 695 processor, whereas the OPPO Reno8 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor. Both have 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and for storage, it’s 128GB on the former, and 256GB on the latter.
For imaging, both have a triple rear camera system – the Reno8 5G has a 50MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens. Reno8 Z 5G boasts a 64MP main unit, but swaps out the ultra-wide for a pair of 2MP sensors for depth and macro photography. Upfront, you get a 32MP snapper on the former, and a 16MP on the latter.

OPPO Reno8 5G Series Pricing and Availability
OPPO Reno8 5G and Reno8 Z 5G are priced at PhP27,999 and PhP19,999, respectively. Those who will pre-order from September 1 to 8, 2022 at OPPO retail stores will also get the OPPO Enco Buds as freebie. Both will be available in stores starting September 9, 2022.
Those who will order via Lazada and Shopee from September 1 to 9 will also get the OPPO Enco Buds as a freebie, along with a chance to win an OPPO Pad Air.
OPPO Reno8 5G and Reno8 Z 5G are also available at Smart Signature Plan 1499 (+ Cashout) and Plan 999 (+ Cashout), respectively. For freebies, it’s the OPPO Enco Buds for the Reno8 5G, and an IPEGA Game Grip for the Reno8 Z 5G.
