A new patent filed by Huawei for an unusual smartphone was just spotted by LetsGoDigital. The phone is said to be capable of accurately measuring faces and evaluating skin health from a portrait photo or a selfie taken with its main camera as shown in the concept images by the tipster.

The phone is said to achieve this with its rear triple camera setup that can apparently measure the depth and size of someone’s pores. There has been no definitive information about its accuracy though.

After the phone is finished analyzing your skin, it would notify you of how you can improve your skin health. You can also send the analysis to someone else by email or a messaging service.

The tipster found one design feature to be more interesting and it’s the circular display surrounding the main camera. Looking at the concept images it seems to resemble the Mate 40 Pro that was released by Huawei in November 2020.

Huawei is known to have pioneered new health features on their products as of late but we cannot expect this new design to arrive anytime soon though.
