iQOO announced on Weibo that the iQOO 9 series will arrive with a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor on January 5.
The new series will be the first in the world to feature the sensor. In addition, the poster revealed a 7P lens and Gimbal Stabilization. The Pro model will also feature a 150-degree ultra-wide angle camera alongside the main sensor.
While we’re on the topic of the Pro model, iQOO shared four photos shot with the aforementioned 150-degree ultra-wide angle camera. Two of the four photos were taken with the phone’s fisheye mode.
The company also revealed that the 120W GaN charger bundled with the Pro variants will be 35g as well as smaller than its predecessor.
Meanwhile, in a separate post, it mentioned that the iQOO 9 series will have a 4700mAh battery but didn’t clarify whether both or only one of the devices will pack said capacity.
Other confirmed specs are a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 50W wireless charging, and 2K 120Hz E5 AMOLED display with a 1000Hz touch sampling rate.
More features and specs are expected to be revealed in the following days.
