S&R Membership Shopping has recently announced that it was targeted by a cyber-attack in the Philippines. In the announcement, the company mentioned that limited membership data like contact information may have been compromised.
It did clarify though that the credit card and other financial information of its members are safe and secured.
S&R assured in the advisory, “Our team acted immediately and decisively to implement our cybersecurity protocols that enabled us to resume our system operations.” It continued, “Our business was not affected, and we continue to deliver a convenient and fulfilling member-customers shopping experience.”
The company condemns the criminal acts and has already reported the attack to the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
S&R Membership Shopping ends the advisory with, “Rest assured that we are implementing measures to further reinforce the security of our IT system.”
