ASRock Launches Its Full Range of Intel Z690 Motherboards

ASRock has just proudly unveiled its comprehensive new range of motherboards featuring the Intel Z690 chipset with a brand new LGA1700 socket platform to pair with the latest 12th generation Intel Core processors. The new platform supports PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 high-speed memory.

Z690 Taichi

If you’re a premium user looking for uncompromised performance, the ASRock Z690 Taichi is for you. The motherboard has been given a 20 phase Dr.MOS design with the latest Smart Power Stage (SPS) technology for a smoother and neater power to the CPU.

To pair with the latest and performance from the 12th generation Intel Core processors, the motherboard is also capable of supporting the latest DDR5 DRAM module with a reinforced DIMM slot.

The Z690 Taichi has uniquely added on SATA and USB ports, independent from others for protection. This can be activated from the BIOS setting which then is cut off from other ports to prevent access from malware and ransomware.

Additionally, Thunderbolt 4 technology is also available on the rear I/O and provides a 40Bb/s transfer rate.

Phantom Gaming Series

Next are the Phantom Gaming series motherboards comprised of the Z690 PG Velocita, Z690 PG Riptide, and Z690 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB4.

The Z690 PG Velocita has a PCIe Gen5 x4 m.2 Key-M slot that accommodates the latest PCI Express 5.0 standard. This is able to perform twice the bandwidth compared to the previous generation with 128Gb/s transfer speeds.

Meanwhile, the Z690 PG Riptide is built for mainstream gamers that require a reliable yet powerful companion. It features Lightning Gaming ports and Killer networking. It also supports PCIe 5.0 and a DR.MOS CPU VRM design with large heatsinks.

If you’re into small form factors, the Z690 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB4 is for you. Despite the smaller form factor, ASRock has crammed every spec it can. These include Thunderbolt 4 Type-C, Killer 2.5Gbps LAN and WiFi 6E, 11 phase 105A SPS Dr.MOS, and support for DDR5 and PCIe 5.0.

The ASRock Z690 Extreme and Z690 Steel Legend motherboard series were designed around 6 Layer PCB and 2-ounce copper inner layers which delivers lower temperature and higher energy efficiency for overclocking.

BIOS Flashback has also been added on all ASRock Z690 motherboards to give future proof capability. You can easily update BIOS via the BIOS Flashback button located on the rear I/O with a USB flash drive and power supply.

Every motherboard in the two series is equipped with 2.5Gb/s LAN and a front-panel USB 3.2 Gen-2×2 header. Additionally, it has 2.5Gb/s LAN speeds and USB 3.2 Gen-2×2 capable of Gbps throughput speeds.

Pro RS for Mainstream Builders

Lastly, the Z690 Pro RS with a new black and grey design. It also has a 6 layer 2 OZ PCB and 13 phase Dr.MOS VRM. This allows Dr.MOS to operate more efficiently and enabling lower temperatures and improved sustained performance.

A graphics card holder is also bundled with all ASRock Z690 mainstream to high-end motherboards. The holder has a universal design that ensures heavy graphics cards can be held securely. This is simply attached to the motherboard and chassis with the provided screws.
