Samsung Gets Trademark for “Bright Night” Camera Sensor

Samsung has just trademarked a “Bright Night” camera sensor in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). According to the patent description, the new Samsung “Bright Night” sensor will be used for smartphones and photographic devices.

The new sensor may be a new dedicated sensor for night time photography and videos and may feature in the upcoming S11 series. It could also be another name for its new 108MP camera.

“Bright Night” was already seen as the dedicated night mode on the S10 and Note 10 series but this may Samsung’s move to make it a hardware feature as well.

Renders have also surfaced of the new flagships from the Korean company. It reveals five rear cameras in a rectangular setup with the 108MP sensor in the helm. It is also supposedly accompanied by a periscope module with 5x optical zoom.

Other leaks include that the three S11 phones will get laser autofocus and be able to record 8K video. It is also reported to come with Director’s View, Night Hyperlapse, Single Take Photo, and Vertical Panorama. We may see the new S11 series be even more formidable in the camera department.
