Facebook Messenger is off to a galaxy far far away with the new Star Wars theme recently released. The theme includes Star Wars emojis, animated stickers, AR filters for video calls, and a Star Wars-inspired dark theme.
The Star Wars theme is, of course, in partnership with Disney, just in time for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It is said to be limited-edition, which, one can assume is just for a limited time.

This should be more battery-friendly than the regular white theme, being a dark mode theme. However, it should also use up a bit more battery than the regular dark theme.
In order to get the Facebook Messenger Star Wars theme on, make sure that Messenger is updated. After that, go to a chat with a friend or a group chat, then go to settings, and lastly select the Star Wars theme from the Theme sub-menu.
