With only a few days away from its online launch in the Philippines, ASUS has finally announced the pre-order details for the highly-anticipated ROG Phone 2!
ROG Phone 2 is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 855+, along with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage. To sustain peak performance, it’s equipped with 3 layers of cooling. First, a 3D Vapor Chamber, Second, a heat sink plus internal and external vents, and the third, the AeroActive Cooler II.
The device boasts a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 240Hz touch sampling rate, which makes it 44% faster than its competitors in terms of screen responsiveness.
For optics, you get a dual rear camera setup that uses a 48MP main sensor, along with a 13MP wide-angle shooter. There’s also a 24MP front-facing camera.
ROG Phone 2 runs on the brand’s custom UI, though this time, the user is able to choose whether to use it or stick to a more standard UI. It packs a 6,000mAh battery which supports QC 3.0 and PD 3.0.
