ASUS has just announced two new members of the ZenBook family, the ZenBook Duo and the ZenBook Pro Duo. Both of which feature the groundbreaking, ScreenPad Plus.
ScreenPad Plus
The ScreenPad Plus a full-width secondary touchscreen that expands and enhances the interactive capabilities offered by the ASUS ScreenPad. The ScreenPad Plus integrates seamlessly with the primary display for even easier multitasking.
The Built-in ScreenXpert software includes a wide selection of useful apps, tools, and utilities that allow users to easily enjoy the ScreenPad Plus. These include quick controls like App Switcher, ViewMax, and App Navigator. While Task Group lets users lock instantly into work mode by opening multiple tasks with a single touch.
To reduce clutter, discreet apps, toolbars or menus can be dragged into ScreenPad Plus. This includes video previews, timeline controls, code windows, or audio mixer panels.
ZenBook Pro Duo
The ZenBook Pro Duo (UX581) has a 4K UHD (3840×2160) NanoEdge OLED touchscreen with four-sided frameless design feature an 89% screen-to-body ratio. This display supports a wide color gamut with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and HDR. It also has a 4K (3840×1100) ScreenPad Plus and an ASUS NumberPad dual-function touchpad, to boot.
The Pro Duo is powered by up to a 9th Generation Intel Core i9 eight-core processor with up to 5GHz Turbo Boost frequency and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. It also has a gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.
It features x 4 SSDs up to 1TB which ensures ultrafast data access at all times. Along with this, its full set of I/O ports includes a Thunderbolt 3-enabled USB Type-C port.
As far as cooling is concerned, the ZenBook Pro Duo has a dedicated Turbo Fan button to boost cooling at any time and has the ErgoLift hinge.
The Pro Duo also features Amazon Alexa voice support with a dedicated light bar at the front of the laptop that illuminates when it’s listening.
ZenBook Duo
While the ZenBook Duo (UX481) is the more affordable and smaller of the two. The Duo is a 14-inch ultraportable laptop that the same ScreenPad Plus features.
It is powered by up to an Intel Core i7 processor and GeForce MX250 graphics. It has an FHD NanoEdge display and an FHD ScreenPad Plus.
