Transcend announced their ESD250C portable solid state drive and features a sturdy metallic case, a USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface, a USB type-C port, and a pre-formatted exFAT file system.
The ESD250C achieves transfer speed of up to 520MB/s by taking advantage of the latest USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface. With support for UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol), it can boost transfer speeds faster than traditional USB 3.0 interface when used with a UASP-enabled host computer.
It is equipped with a USB Type-C port which offers compatibility with desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices (mobile devices must support USB OTG function), and gaming consoles. The new portable SSD comes bundled with a USB Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A cable for seamless connectivity with the latest USB Type-C devices or conventional PCs with USB Type-A connectors.
The new solid state drive is small enough to fit into a pocket or bag with its aluminum construction. At a height of 7.5mm, is portable, durable, and stylish with its minimalist space-gray hue.
The Transcend Elite advanced software helps manage data and increase productivity. It features backup and restore, data encryption, and cloud backup functions to keep important files organized, protected, and up to date. The software is available as a free download and is compatible with Windows OS and iOS.
The ESD250C Portable SSD comes in 240GB and 480GB capacities and is backed by Transcend’s three-year limited warranty.
