Xiaomi has brought in a new mid-range device for its Filipino fans to enjoy, the Redmi Note 5 with an 18:9 FHD+ display, dual rear cameras with dual pixel PDAF, and AI-assisted scene detection and beautification. As Xiaomi would put it, it is their most powerful Redmi ever.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, combined with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. It runs on MIUI 9.5 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, and packs a 4,000mAh battery.
At the rear is a dual camera system with Dual Pixel PDAF and AI scene detection – composed of a 12MP main sensor, along with a 5MP secondary sensor. The front camera on the other hand, uses a 13MP sensor, also with AI assisted beautification.
