OPPO Philippines recently achieved another milestone, by ranking third in the YouTube Ads Leaderboard in the Philippines for the second half of 2017 with its OPPO F5 – Capture the Real You video Commercial.
The YouTube Ads Leaderboard is a bi-annual list of the top 10 ads from the platform in the Philippines, and recognizes brands that have captured the hearts of the Filipino consumer through popularity and promotion.
OPPO’s commercial lasted 30 seconds, and used a natural approach towards the product’s capabilities and benefits. The ad was spearheaded by the brand’s endorsers, Alden Richards and Sarah Geronimo, and shows both looking at their old and unnatural looking selfies.
But the OPPO F5’s AI Beauty Technology, which detects over 200 points on the face, smartly applies the appropriate effects to make selfies look more natural. The video has already received more than 4.6M views on YouTube, and is the company’s most viewed ad in the Philippines to date.

Launched last October, 2017, more than 33,000 units of the OPPO F5 were sold just in its first week. The device has also been a consistent top seller in its category according to the ranking of smartphone dealer Memo Xpress.
