Earlier today, Vivo Philippines introduced their newest selfie-centric smartphone to hit the Market, the Vivo V5 Lite, a toned down and more affordable version of the V5.

The V5 Lite retains most of the design elements on its more powerful brother, especially when you look at the back. There’s one noticeable difference though: The Power button now has less emphasis and follows the look of the other capacitive buttons.

With regards to internals, the V5 Lite sports a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor, with 3GB of RAM (vs the V5’s 4GB), the same 32GB of internal storage, the same 3000mAh battery, and also runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box (With Vivo’s FunTouch OS of course).

In addition to lesser RAM, you won’t find the 20MP front camera here. Instead, the company has opted to make use of a 16MP front camera and retain the selfie softlight flash. The rear camera remains the same at 13MP. It also doesn’t have a dedicated Hi-Fi audio chip, so don’t expect too much in terms of sound quality.

The V5 Plus is now available from stores nationwide for only PhP9,990
