    Apple has just unveiled the latest iPad Pro powered by the M2 Chip. It promises to combine portability, versatility, and performance into one solid package.

    The new iPad Pro is equipped with the latest 8-core M2 chip that is up to 15% faster than the M1 paired with a 10-core GPU that delivers up to 35% faster graphics performance.

    In addition to the CPU and GPU cores, the 16-core Neural Engine can process 15.8 trillion operations per second which are said to be 40% more than what the M1 is capable of.

    Additional features of the iPad pro are as follows: 

    • Apple Pencil hover Experience – A new way to interact with your screen. Thanks to the new iPadOS 16 and Apple Pencil(2nd gen), the pencil can now be detected 12mm above the screen. This then allows you to preview the marks you want to make before you actually apply them.
    • WiFi 6E – This can help users who rely on fast data transfers even on the go. Download speeds reach up to 2.4Gb/s, 2x faster than its predecessor. On the other hand, WiFi+ Cellular(sub-6GHz and mmWave) now has support for more 5G networks around the globe.
    • Extra Pro features enabled by the iPadOS16 –
      • Stage Manager – this is a new multitasking experience that automatically organizes apps and windows, making it quick and easy to switch between tasks.
      • Desktop-class apps – allows for new capabilities that are optimized for the display. This makes apps more capable that come with new elements and interactions, consistent undo and redo, redesigned inline find-and-replace, new document menu, customizable toolbars, changeable file extensions, and more.
      • Reference Mode – gives the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Liquid Retina XDR display the capability to match the color requirements in workflows like review and approve color grading, and compositing, where accurate colors and consistent image quality are critical.

    Report: New M2-powered iPad Pro Models to be Introduced Before October 27

    According to a report from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is expected to introduce two new iPad Pro tablets equipped with the M2 SoC. These are said to have 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes with a minor upgrade but with new charging capabilities.

    The new iPad Pro models are said to be unveiled before October 27, the same date Apple will deliver its quarterly and yearly earning reports. An event isn’t announced by Apple but the new tablets are expected to be announced via a press release on the company website.

    Among the charging upgrades, according to Gurman, include MagSafe charging and reverse charging. Additionally, the launch iPadOS 16 is also expected to be released. The new OS version was previously delayed.

    This is definitely exciting news for iPad users. However, Apple has yet to reveal anything as of writing this, so we’ll just have to wait and see in the following days for more news on this.

    Just a few days after the official debut of the new iPad Pro line-up at WWDC, the 10.5 and 12.9 variants are now available in the Philippines thru a local reseller.

    We got our own Apple iPad Pro 10.5 at Widget City for PhP34,500.

    Widget City, a gadget reseller in the Philippines just made the 10.5 and 12.9 variants of the iPad Pro in 2 colors: Gold and Rose Gold. All storage variants (64gb, 128gb and 256gb) are available via their online website, which may be bought in-store or via COD. Wi-Fi and Cellular versions are also available. A free Smart LTE sim will be given to who will buy the Wi-Fi/Cellular version.

    • Redesigned Retina Displays are brighter and uses ProMotion Technology which allows for up to 120Hz refresh rates for fluid navigation, improved responsiveness, and smoother motion.

    • The new iPad Pros are powered by Apple’s A10X Fusion Chip, designed to tackle complex and demanding tasks such as editing photos, 4K video, rendering 3D images or playing games.
    • The A10X chip delivers up to 30% improvement in CPU performance, and up to 40% better graphics performance when compared to the A9X chip, while still being able to deliver great battery life.
    • The new iPad Pros feature the same advanced front and rear cameras from the iPhone 7, which includes a 12MP rear camera with OIS, and a 7MP FaceTime HD front camera.
    • Four-speaker audio system which delivers powerful and crystal clear stereo sound regardless of orientation.
    • Embedded Apple SIM and support for 802.11ac Wi-Fi and LTE-Advanced
    • Touch ID is now more responsive and gives users a simple and straightforward way to secure the device.
    • A new full size smart keyboard that doesn’t need charging or pairing via Bluetooth.
