K/DA is back after six years. The virtual K-pop group released “FIRESTARTER” and a four-track EP across major streaming platforms, and Riot Games marked the return with a listening party in the Philippines that also showcased Wild Rift’s HEATBRINGER skinline. The champion skins, including a Prestige Evelynn, launch on November 4.
What happened at the party
The event served as the official Philippine listening party for K/DA’s new music. Riot ran a curated set that moved from the EP to tracks by its other virtual acts, TRUE DAMAGE and HEARTSTEEL, alongside the company’s esports anthems, framing the night as a sweep through the wider Riot music catalogue rather than a single-artist playback.
The party coincided with Wild Rift patch 7.3, which Riot calls the game’s biggest patch update ever. Riot built the K/DA party to build excitement for the patch as much as the record, pairing the new song with updated champion looks and the in-game skins that follow on November 4.
Attendees also played live AAA ARAM matches broadcast to the party, which Riot used as the showcase for “Sonic Waves”, the game mode’s newest augments, drawing on HEARTSTEEL, Pentakill, and TRUE DAMAGE.
Around the matches, the K/DA night ran quick-fire community games with prizes, swag giveaways, a cosplay meet-and-greet, and exclusive photo opportunities. Guests arrived in Champion-inspired outfits, which turned the room into a costume parade as much as a listening session, and the event doubled as an immersive Wild Rift experience rather than a stage show.
The HEATBRINGER skins
The skinline gives the group’s four original members white-hot and red-hot redesigns, a visual update Riot ties to the new musical era and the group’s stage presence. Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa each get a HEATBRINGER skin, and the collection adds the Prestige K/DA HEATBRINGER Evelynn, which the fact sheet calls highly coveted and a special release.
All of this launches on November 4. The releases are exclusive to Wild Rift, and the collection marks K/DA’s return to in-game cosmetics as well as to streaming.
The EP is available across major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
