Visa and MOONTON Games have announced a new three-year partnership covering the next three editions of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M Series, from the M8 World Championship in 2027 through M10 in 2029. Visa is the Global Payment Partner across that window, and the pair then brought fans together at MPL Philippines Season 18, which drew 20,000 onsite fans and peaked at 1.49 million concurrent viewers across its two-month run, according to Esports Charts.
Inside the three-year deal

The M Series is MLBB’s flagship international competition, and Esports Charts puts its peak concurrent viewership at 5.68 million, the highest on record for a mobile esports tournament. Visa’s role runs across M8, M9, and M10, the last of which closes the agreement in 2029.
MPL Philippines is the flagship local tournament of MLBB, and Season 18 ran two months before closing with its playoffs. Visa cardholders received early access to purchase the Visa Mythical Glory Day Pass, which offered VIP seating, meet-and-greet opportunities with teams and players, and access to the Visa Mythical Glory Lounge.

Visa also backed the Alamat Awards, the league’s recognition programme, sponsoring three individual prizes: the Visa Most Improved Player, the Visa Comeback Player, and the Visa Rising Player. The awards went to players singled out for their form and resilience across the two-month tournament.
“The success of MPL Philippines Season 18 underscores the incredible passion and energy of the Filipino esports community,” said Nico Leviste, Visa Philippines Head of Marketing. “This renewed partnership with MOONTON Games has really allowed us to bring fans to the game that they love.”
Lee Viloria, Esports Business Development Head for the Philippines at MOONTON Games, framed the tie-up around MLBB’s tenth year. “This partnership with Visa allows us to celebrate the passion that has made the Philippines one of MLBB’s most dynamic esports communities,” he said.
