Discord has just recently announced that it will be making Discoverable Servers publicly searchable via Google and other search engines and platforms. This will be fully implemented by mid-December.
Discord – Discoverable Messages and Servers
According to the announcement, it will only affect discoverable servers or servers that have 1,000 members or more and have been up for at least eight weeks, among other requirements. The platform claimed that there are 63,000 Discoverable Servers as it is.

The reason behind this change is “so you can find the answer you’re looking for and step straight into the conversation on Discord.” A possible example of this would be looking for a build in a game you saw in a server a while back or even a new device suggested.
This isn’t forced, though, as server admins and even its members can decide if the content will be searchable.
How to Turn This On/Off

If you want to change this as a user, you can visit User Settings > Data & Privacy > Show my message content from Discoverable channels on web pages. You can toggle it on and off from there.

Meanwhile, if you’re a server admin of a Discoverable Channel and want to disable/enable this, you can go to Server Settings > Web Presence and choose which channels will take part in this feature.
Do note that these settings are on by default unless you’re in Australia, Brazil, Canada, the EU, South Korea, or the UK.
Discord mentioned that Server Web Page and Channel Summaries will go live on November 16, 2026. Meanwhile, Channel Messages will be rolled out in mid-December 2026.
