LG Electronics Philippines has opened its new HVAC Academy and Business Innovation Center at Silver City in Pasig City. The facility is a dedicated space where industry professionals such as customers, partners, engineers, consultants, and contractors can build technical knowledge and see LG’s business solutions applied in practical settings. It was formally opened through a ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing, followed by a guided tour of the showroom and the HVAC Academy.
“The opening of the HVAC Academy and Business Innovation Center is about bringing technology and expertise closer to the people who use them every day,” said Nakhyun Seong, Managing Director of LG Electronics Philippines, Inc. “We want this to be a space where our customers and partners can learn, ask questions, experience solutions firsthand, and build the technical knowledge they need for their own projects and businesses.”
Hands-on HVAC training at the Academy

The HVAC Academy is a technical training and capability-building platform designed to support consultants, specifying engineers, architects, mechanical contractors, commissioning technicians, facilities managers, maintenance engineers, and LG’s own B2B sales and technical teams. Its curriculum covers engineering design and software simulation, HVAC products and core systems, installation and commissioning, troubleshooting, and smart building controls and cloud management. The Academy is designed to help professionals better understand the full HVAC lifecycle, from planning and system design to installation, operation, diagnostics, and maintenance.

The facility also provides learning on energy-efficient HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial requirements, including VRF systems, heat pumps, chillers, smart controls, and HVAC design and diagnostic solutions. Energy efficiency is a central part of the Academy’s technical learning, with training and demonstrations covering energy-efficient technologies, smart energy management, and centralized controls.
“HVAC today involves much more than selecting equipment. Good outcomes depend on proper system design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance,” said Seong. “Through the Academy, we hope to create more opportunities for industry professionals to strengthen those practical skills and understand how the technologies work in real-world environments.”
The Academy is also positioned to respond to growing requirements across sectors such as AI data centers and semiconductor facilities, premium commercial real estate and hospitality, healthcare and cleanroom environments, and smart and net-zero buildings. In these sectors, efficient and reliable cooling and building management are becoming increasingly important.
