Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to hike prices for its mid-to-high-end monitors as the rising cost of essential components begins to increase in price.
Xiaomi Set to Raise Monitor Prices
According to reports from ChannelGate and Vision Hall, the price surge is driven by significant increases in the cost of main control board chips and memory modules. In the second quarter of 2026, component costs rose by approximately 14 to 21 yuan ($2–$3) per unit, with analysts forecasting an additional 21 yuan ($3) increase in the third quarter.
These numbers represent a major challenge for a company built on thin margins and high-value hardware. Xiaomi is expected to implement a phased pricing strategy, resulting in gradual increases across its product lineup. Currently, the company’s flagship Redmi G Pro 32U 2026 monitor retails for 3,199 yuan ($468), but this price point may soon shift.

This is a reaction to Global DRAM and NAND flash prices nearly quadrupling over the past year due to explosive demand from the AI sector and data centers. Xiaomi has already been forced to raise smartphone prices by roughly 200 yuan (around $29) to compensate.
As gross margins fell from 12% to 8.3% over the last year, experts suggest that Xiaomi’s era of ultra-affordable high-end tech may be facing its toughest test yet.
