Redmi has introduced the Redmi R70 and R70m in China, two closely related phones that share the same specs, except for battery capacity.

The Redmi R70 has a 6.9-inch LCD display with a 720×1600 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 800-nit peak brightness. It packs a Unisoc T8300 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. You also get a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 6,000mAh battery.

The Redmi R70m keeps the same core hardware but upgrades the battery to 6,300 mAh. Both support 15W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging, and both are offered in black, white, blue, and purple colors.

Pricing

Pricing starts at CNY 1,599 for the R70. Configurations are 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, 6GB+256GB, and 8/256GB. The Redmi R70m starts at CNY 1,799 and comes in 6GB+128GB, 6GB+256GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB variants. There’s no news yet about a global release.
