OnePlus has begun teasing that it will debut the next-generation Nord smartphone. The company hasn’t announced what will launch, but it strongly believed that it will be the OnePlus Nord 6, the direct successor to the Nord 5.
OnePlus Nord 6 Teaser
The announcement simply teases the back panel of the alleged OnePlus Nord 6 with a blue silhouette and what appears to be a bit of the camera module and volume rockers on the side. This came with the text “Entering the Nord era soon”.
This post was followed by an x-ray-style visual with the phone in a pouch with its battery prominently outlined. It also has the same blue hue as the first teaser photo, which could suggest at least one color of the Nord 6. The device is also joined by what appears to be a TWS charging case, a power adapter, a charging cable, keys, and a pin with the company’s signature “Never Settle” slogan.
The X-ray visual could also tease that the device will debut alongside new earbuds, but that is purely speculative.
Alleged Specs
Along with the teaser, reports have surfaced on the OnePlus Nord 6, which is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. If this is accurate, it would be a major improvement compared to its predecessor, which featured a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor.
The Nord 6 is also speculated to share specs with the OnePlus Turbo 6 unveiled in China. This includes a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and a self-developed G1 esports Wi-Fi chip.
The Turbo 6 featured a 9000mAh Glacier battery with support for 80W wired fast charging. However, it is believed that the OnePlus Nord 6 will have a smaller battery and even slower fast charging speeds, due to global market regulatory requirements.
OnePlus has yet to fully announce when the Nord 6 will actually debut along with its hardware, but we expect to learn more about it in the following days.
