DJI has just unveiled the DJI ROMO series robot vacuums in South Korea. The flagship DJI ROMO P boasts transparent panels on the vacuum as well as the base station.

The DJI ROMO series utilizes dual fisheye vision sensors and a wide-angle dual-transmitter solid-state LiDAR for obstacle sensing at a millimeter-level. These, coupled with machine learning allows the robot vacuum to detect and avoid objects even as thin as 2mm like charging cables and even playing cards.

Additionally, these sensors allow it to easily navigate under beds, sofas, tables, and other low-clearance furniture, even in low-light settings.

The cleaning routes of the robot vacuum use the company’s mapping and navigation technology. Moreover, it boasts dual flexible arms that extend and retract, allowing it to clean edges and around the legs of your furniture.

When the robot vacuum spots loose debris like cat litter, it slows down and reduces side brush rotation. Meanwhile, two high-torque motors power the roller brushes, helping to guide hair, dust, and other larger debris into the hollow center.

The DJI ROMO series delivers up to 25,000 Pa of suction with 20 liters per second airflow. There’s also a 164 ml water tank to help keep mop pads damp evenly, and it automatically adjusts water flow for tougher stains. The flagship DJI ROMO P also has a floor deodorizer compartment.

The base station features self-cleaning with four high-pressure water jets, a 16mm waste outlet, and cleans the mop pads by applying 12 newtons of down force. It is said to offer up to 200 days of maintenance-free operation. The ROMO robot vacuums also support 55W, and it is said to fully charge in 2.5 hours.

The DJI ROMO series is controlled through the DJI Home app, with presets and customizable modes. Moreover, it offers encrypted video transmission and two-factor authentication for camera access.
