The Witcher 3 Remastered is now live, and PC players who already own CD PROJEKT RED’s role-playing epic can pick up the upgrade for free. The update adds path tracing and DLSS 4.5 to one of the best-selling RPGs of all time, and it kicks off a packed stretch of DLSS 4.5 releases that runs from ACE COMBAT 8 to Gears of War: E-Day. We first flagged the September 29 rollout in our earlier roundup of NVIDIA’s DLSS 4.5 games.
What The Witcher 3 Remastered Adds on PC
CD PROJEKT RED has renamed the title to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and rebuilt its PC presentation with NVIDIA. Path tracing joins the mix, along with DLSS 4.5, which brings a second-generation transformer model for Super Resolution and Ray Reconstruction. Ray Reconstruction replaces the hand-tuned denoisers used in ray-traced games, so path-traced lighting, reflections, and shadows resolve with less noise and more fine detail.
Dynamic Multi Frame Generation also arrives. On GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs it can produce up to five extra frames for every one the GPU renders, scaling itself to the scene workload and your display refresh rate. NVIDIA HairWorks returns too, the hair-rendering technology the two teams introduced with the original release. Path tracing is expensive work, and CD PROJEKT RED’s updated PC requirements put a path-traced 4K session in GeForce RTX 5080 territory.
NVIDIA says the same enhancements will carry over to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Songs of the Past, the expansion CD PROJEKT RED is preparing for 2027. We previewed that expansion from Tokyo Game Show 2026.
The Rest of the DLSS 4.5 Lineup
ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE opened Advance Access today for Deluxe Edition buyers, three days ahead of its October 2 general release. The flight-combat title ships with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and DLAA.
AION 2 begins five days of Founder’s Pack early access on September 30, followed by a free-to-play global launch on October 5. The MMORPG supports DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation.
Gears of War: E-Day enters Early Access on October 1 for Premium Edition owners, with ray tracing, RTX Mega Geometry, DLSS 4.5, and NVIDIA Reflex onboard. The full launch follows on October 6.
Enlisted’s newest update stacks DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, Opacity Micromaps, ray-traced bullet tracers, and path-traced global illumination lighting. SILENT HILL: Townfall ships with DLSS Super Resolution, which players can push to DLSS 4.5 through the NVIDIA app. HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush adds DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, while CONTROL Resonant pairs path tracing with DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, with NVIDIA claiming up to 320 frames per second at 4K on a GeForce RTX 5090.
What This Means for Players in the Philippines
If you own The Witcher 3 on PC, the upgrade costs nothing beyond the download. DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution runs on every GeForce RTX GPU, while Dynamic Multi Frame Generation at 6X stays exclusive to RTX 50 Series cards. Owners of older RTX 20 and 30 Series GPUs can still use the newer Super Resolution models, and NVIDIA recommends the lighter Model K preset for those cards.
Players without an RTX desktop or laptop can still stream CONTROL Resonant and other supported titles through GeForce NOW. For everyone else, the free update means the only thing standing between you and a path-traced Wild Hunt is the size of the download.
