The Galaxy Tab S12 series is now official. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S12+ on September 30, 2026, bringing Android 17 with One UI 9, a bundled S Pen, and its thinnest tablet body yet to the Philippines from PhP76,590. Both succeed the Galaxy Tab S11 series from last September.
Thin, light, and built to keep going
Samsung says the Tab S12 Ultra measures 5.1mm thick and 692 grams, the slimmest Galaxy Tab yet, with a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 2960 x 1848 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Tab S12+ drops to a 12.6-inch screen at 2800 x 1752 with slimmer bezels than its predecessor. Both reach 1,600 nits of peak brightness and add a Vision Booster that adjusts brightness in real time.
A 3nm processor runs the pair, and Samsung claims up to 61% faster NPU processing, 19% faster CPU performance, and 17% better GPU performance than the Tab S11 Ultra. A 3D Vapor Chamber spreads heat during long editing sessions, while IP68 protection and an 11,600 mAh battery in the Ultra (10,600 mAh in the Plus) are rated for up to 23 and 21 hours of use. A 45W adapter charges either tablet from zero to full in about 95 minutes, and sound moves to 4-channel spatial audio.
Galaxy AI plus a wider app bundle
Multi Window now splits the screen into three sections, so a lecture, Samsung Notes, and an AI assistant can share the display. Note Assist summarizes handwritten notes, and the in-box S Pen covers annotation and sketching. The Pro Keyboard adds a Galaxy AI Key for instant assistant access, while the Book Cover Keyboard Slim keeps travel light.
Samsung is bundling more software this time. Adobe Photoshop comes pre-loaded on the Galaxy Tab S12 series, a first for Android tablets, with four months of the Photoshop mobile plan. Notability ships with a six-month trial, Goodnotes gives a year free, LumaFusion is discounted 66%, Notion includes one month of Plus free, and Clip Studio Paint adds a six-month trial. A six-month Google AI Pro trial covers Gemini and Gemini Notebook.
Price and availability in the Philippines
The Tab S12 Ultra is priced at PhP87,590 for 256GB Wi-Fi, PhP99,590 for 256GB 5G, and PhP109,590 for 512GB 5G. The Tab S12+ starts at PhP76,590 for 256GB Wi-Fi and PhP85,590 for 256GB 5G.
Pre-orders run exclusively on Shopee from October 9 to 20, ahead of the online launch on October 21 at Samsung.com, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Shopee, MemoX.com, and Abenson.com. In-store availability follows on October 28, 2026. Each purchase includes a productivity bundle with a Book Cover Keyboard Slim, S Pen, and 45W travel adapter valued up to PhP18,279, plus app benefits worth up to PhP24,161. Trade-in can cut as much as PhP12,000 off, and 0% installment plans run up to 36 months, with extra bank discounts and 10% off for students or PhP5,000 off via the Samsung Education Store.
