Nikon Asia has announced the Nikon Z5IIC, a full-frame mirrorless camera built on the Z mount and designed to make high-quality photography and video more accessible through automatic shooting modes. The camera delivers the same core performance as the Z5II while adding tools aimed squarely at first-time users.
Its mode dial now includes scene modes, a first for a Nikon full-frame mirrorless camera. Selecting a scene automatically adjusts settings like color, brightness, and white balance to match it. A dedicated button also gives quick access to Imaging Recipes, presets created by Nikon and outside creators, allowing users to apply a specific look without digging through menus.
Scene Modes Built for First-Time Users
The Nikon Z5IIC supports 15 scene modes covering everyday subjects like portraits, pets, and food, as well as trickier conditions such as night landscapes and twilight. Choosing a scene adjusts more than six settings at once, including white balance and Picture Control.
Imaging Recipes can be saved to the camera and recalled through the dedicated button, letting users get a specific mood or style without post-processing. A library of public recipes from Nikon and creators is available for download.
AI-Powered Autofocus and Stabilization
The Nikon Z5IIC uses Nikon’s AI-powered autofocus, built on deep-learning technology that can detect 10 subject types. In AUTO mode, the camera reads the scene and adjusts aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and focus on its own. Focus acquisition works down to -10 EV, useful for concerts, dinners, and other low-light situations.
For handheld shooting, the camera includes 5-axis in-body Vibration Reduction rated at up to 7.5 stops of compensation at the center of the frame, helping reduce shake in both stills and video.
Design Built for Everyday Carry
The Nikon Z5IIC has a slim, streamlined build meant to slide easily in and out of a bag, paired with a grip designed for a secure, comfortable hold. A 3.2-inch vari-angle monitor allows shooting from low angles or selfie position, with smartphone-style touch controls for double-tap, pinch, and swipe gestures during playback and focusing.
The body uses magnesium alloy in key areas for added rigidity and includes dust- and drip-resistant construction for outdoor use. It comes in black and silver.
EXPEED 7 and Image Quality
Inside, the Nikon Z5IIC runs on the same EXPEED 7 image-processing engine found in Nikon’s flagship model, paired with a backside-illumination CMOS sensor. Paired with NIKKOR Z lenses, it renders subtle gradations, natural bokeh, and low-noise night scenes. The camera also carries the Film Grain function first introduced on the Nikon Zf in October 2023, for a nostalgic film look in photos and video.
Video Features for Creators and Live Streaming
Video recording tops out at 4K UHD 60fps and Full HD 120fps, with slow-motion capture at 4x and 5x normal speed depending on frame size settings. A REC lamp and red frame indicator on the monitor make it clear when the camera is recording.
For content creators, Product Review Mode automatically shifts focus to an item brought close to the lens, useful for demos and reviews. The Nikon Z5IIC also connects directly to a PC via USB for webcam use through UVC/UAC support, and can live stream the same way. For more advanced workflows, it supports H.265 10-bit (MOV) recording and Nikon’s N-Log color profile.

Continuous shooting reaches roughly 14fps, and Pre-Release Capture can record up to one second before the shutter button is pressed in High-Speed Frame Capture+ mode, which shoots at up to 30fps. SnapBridge, Nikon’s companion app, now has a camera-simulation function and themed photography tips, on top of automatic image transfer to a smartphone. The camera also supports Nikon Imaging Cloud for data management, and N-RAW video can be recorded directly to an SD card.

Nikon Inc. lists the Nikon Z5IIC body at USD 1,399.95, or USD 1,699.95 with the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 lens, with availability from mid-October 2026. Nikon Asia has not announced Philippine pricing or a local release date.
