MagBak lists iPhone Fold before new iPhone Launch

Accessory maker MagBak has listed a case for Apple’s unannounced foldable iPhone, adding fresh fuel to speculation that the device will be called the iPhone Fold and could be unveiled as early as this month.

The MagBak Elite for iPhone Fold is listed at USD 89 on the company’s website, with product renders showing a two-piece protective case for a book-style foldable, a horizontal dual-camera cutout along the top rear, a MagSafe-compatible ring, and MagBak’s built-in kickstand and fingerloop system. The listing also includes add-ons such as color accent packs and a dedicated lens protector for the device, suggesting the company is preparing a full accessory line around it.

MagBak, a Los Angeles-based accessories brand, describes the case as compatible with Qi2 and MagSafe wireless charging, with raised screen lips and air-cushioned corners for protection. Curiously, the page title refers to the product as the case for the “iPhone Fold Ultra,” mixing the two names that have circulated in reports about Apple’s first foldable.

Case leaks point to a locked design

Accessory makers typically need final or near-final device dimensions months ahead of a launch to have inventory ready when a product ships, which is why case listings have become a reliable early window into unannounced phones. MagBak is not the first: earlier listings and leaked cases from multiple manufacturers, including renders shared by leaker Majin Bu, point to the same book-style wide design, a roughly 5.5-inch cover display, a 7.8-inch inner display, and a horizontal dual-camera module at the top rear.

When several independent listings converge on the same layout, the design is widely considered to be locked. The MagBak listing’s renders line up with those earlier leaks, including what appears to be a side-mounted power button and no visible cutout for a rear fingerprint sensor.

The September 9 question

All of this remains speculation until Apple speaks. The company has scheduled an event for September 9, where its first foldable iPhone is widely expected to debut alongside the iPhone 18 series. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has repeatedly said the device could start above USD 2,000, while naming reports remain split between iPhone Fold and iPhone Ultra.

If Apple does unveil the foldable on September 9, expect the name, specifications, and official pricing to settle the debate quickly, and accessory listings like MagBak’s to go from speculative to shelf-ready overnight.
