Apple’s upcoming foldable “iPhone Ultra” is expected to influence the foldable market by increasing the average price of foldable smartphones by up to 18% this year, according to a Counterpoint Research report.

Apple iPhone Ultra May Increase Foldable Prices?

Analysts project the average market price for foldables will climb to USD 1,485. This surge is heavily influenced by Apple’s entry, with an IDC report predicting the premium iPhone Ultra could retail for a staggering starting price of USD 2,500.

Competitors like Samsung stand to benefit from the market shift. Experts suggest Apple’s ultra-premium pricing will make higher costs for other book-style foldables more appealing to most consumers.

However, the report offers a silver lining for budget-conscious enthusiasts. While premium, larger book-style foldables are anticipated to get more expensive, clamshell-style models are expected to decrease in price, bringing them closer to standard premium smartphones.
