Samsung has announced the Galaxy S26 FE, the newest addition to its Galaxy S26 family and the first device in the lineup to launch with One UI 9. The device combines an enhanced camera system, context-aware Galaxy AI features, a long-lasting battery, and a thin, light design aimed at delivering the premium Galaxy experience to more users.

Sharper Capture and Easier Editing

The Galaxy S26 FE features a triple rear camera system which includes a 50 MP wide camera with optical image stabilization, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view, and an 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. It also has a 12 MP front camera designed to capture more in each frame, helping with group selfies.

Samsung is also bringing My FanCam to the Galaxy S26 FE. Previously introduced on the company’s latest foldable devices, the feature automatically tracks a selected person and keeps them centered by intelligently reframing video as the scene changes. There’s also Super Steady with Horizontal Lock to help produce smoother and more level footage when recording travel, activities, and other moving scenes.

Nightography is designed to preserve brightness and detail in low-light environments. After taking a photo, users can use Photo Assist with natural-language prompts to make edits such as changing the time of day, adding elements, or restoring missing parts. The edits can be reviewed step by step, then revised or undone. Gemini Omni can also create and edit video clips using photos and videos stored in the Gallery.

More Context-Aware Galaxy AI

With One UI 9 on Android 17, the Galaxy S26 FE includes Galaxy AI features designed to adapt to users’ routines. Updated Now Brief offers customizable briefing cards covering information such as weather and wellness insights. Users can create their own cards with a simple prompt.

Now Nudge has been expanded to select third-party apps and notifications, offering timely suggestions intended to help users manage daily tasks. Circle to Search with Google can identify multiple items in an image at once, including products, places, and objects.

Display, Battery and Long-Term Support

You get a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and brightness reaching 1,900 nits. Its 4,900 mAh battery supports 45W wired charging, which means up to 69% in approximately 30 minutes when used with a compatible 45 W adapter. The device also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.

The Galaxy S26 FE is powered by the Exynos 2500 3nm processor and measures 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4 millimeters, weighing 193 grams. It comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
