HONOR teased during the launch of the HONOR Robot Phone that the HONOR Magic9 series will be coming next month.
HONOR Magic9 Series – September Launch
The teaser announcement highlights a corner of the back panel of the HONOR Magic9 series. This includes a circular camera module with a knurling pattern along the outside.
The photo also has text that reveals a 200MP shooter with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and OIS. Last year’s Pro model had a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom. However, it’s hard to tell if this refers to a similar shooter or to the main snapper.
The camera module also has the ARRI logo, which isn’t too surprising because the two companies announced a strategic partnership.
Additionally, HONOR confirmed that the upcoming Magic series will support the same features as the HONOR Robot Phone, like LogC3 video encoding, LUT color grading, and a dedicated cinema mode.
We expect to learn more about the HONOR Magic9 series as early as late August or even early September.
