The HONOR Robot Phone is now official, and HONOR has confirmed it is coming soon to the Philippines, bringing the first smartphone with a fully motorized mechanical gimbal built into its body.

Announced in Manila on August 12, 2026, the HONOR Robot Phone integrates a 4DoF mechanical system anchored by HONOR’s Titanium Agile Gimbal, developed through 60 manufacturing processes with more than 100 precision components and over 100 patents. HONOR says the system is 65 percent smaller than mainstream gimbals while being 200 percent stronger, driven by a 2.6g motor capable of 360 degrees per second.
The camera system marks the first product from HONOR’s Cinematic Imaging Partnership with ARRI, the German cinema camera maker. It pairs a 200MP main camera on the gimbal arm (1/1.28-inch sensor, f/1.6) with a 200MP periscope telephoto (2.7x optical zoom) and a 50MP ultra-wide, and supports 10-bit ARRI LogC3 recording with up to 14 stops of dynamic range. Footage can be graded using ARRI LUTs in editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, part of what HONOR calls a full mobile capture-to-post workflow. ARRI’s Harald Brendel called the partnership “an important first step in exploring how established cinematic principles can support a new generation of visual storytellers”.

Running on MagicOS, the HONOR Robot Phone’s YOYO Robot Mode uses voice localization and AI tracking to let the camera arm pan and follow a subject automatically during vlogging or video calls, with gesture controls to deploy the arm hands-free. Beyond imaging, HONOR opened an Agent Skills interface for developers to build on the device’s gimbal and perception features.

Core hardware includes a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 7,060mAh silicon-carbon battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display rated at 6,800 nits peak brightness. The device previously appeared at MWC 2026, Cannes Film Festival’s China Night, and the Shanghai International Film Festival before this commercial launch.
HONOR has not disclosed Philippine pricing or a release date of the HONOR Robot Phone, directing followers to its official channels for updates.
