Google has just revived the Google Home name for its smart speaker as it introduced the Google Home Speaker powered by Gemini.
It is officially available for pre-order until June 25 in the US.
Google Home Speaker Powered by Gemini
The new Google Home Speaker has a familiar design, looking like an upgrade of the Nest Audio Bluetooth Speaker introduced in 2020.

The new smart speaker from Google delivers improved audio quality than its predecessor. It is said that the Home Speaker features a balanced 360-degree sound thanks to a 58mm full-range driver and works together with the Google TV Speaker.

However, the Google Home Speaker is built and designed to work with Gemini. This means that it is more flexible and open to continuous learning, and adapting to your tone of voice and vocabulary.

This includes giving multiple commands all at once or asking complex questions. An example that Google gives is telling Gemini, “Dim the kitchen lights, play some relaxing music, and set a timer for 20 minutes” or “What’s the weather going to be like for the next <insert your favorite team name> baseball game?”

Additionally, you can now have conversations with your smart speaker that can help you learn, plan, or unwind.

It’s unlikely we’ll see the new smart speaker offered in the Philippines, but one can hope.

He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
