UGREEN FineTrack Mini 2 Air is like an AirTag but cheaper
There is no shortage of item trackers now, but many buyers still want something simple, dependable, and less expensive than Apple’s own option. The FineTrack Mini 2 Air positions itself exactly there, offering Find My compatibility, one-tap pairing with iPhone or iPad, a loud 110 dB alarm (AirTag 2 has 85db), and family sharing support, all while being clearly marketed for iOS only.

That focused approach is both a strength and a limitation. If you are already inside Apple’s ecosystem, the FineTrack Mini 2 Air makes a lot of sense because it plugs directly into the Find My app without extra friction, but Android users should move on immediately because the listing explicitly says it is not compatible with Android.
Build
UGREEN gives the FineTrack Mini 2 Air a practical rather than premium identity. It highlights a fluorescent casing that glows in the dark, which sounds like a small detail at first but is actually useful when the tracker slips under cushions, into bags, or into dark corners where visual spotting matters as much as the audible alarm.

That same design philosophy carries into how the product is positioned. This is not presented as a luxury accessory or a fashion-forward tracker. It is a functional smart tag meant to be heard, found, and shared with family members through Find My. That honest, utility-first approach works in its favor, even if it does not sound especially glamorous.

IP68 Rating
One of the stronger points on paper is durability. UGREEN states that the FineTrack Mini 2 Air is IP68 waterproof and dustproof, certified according to IEC 60529, and claims it can survive submersion in 2 meters of water for 60 minutes.

For a tracker that will likely live on keys, inside backpacks, or attached to luggage, that is an important reassurance. It suggests the FineTrack Mini 2 Air is designed for real-world use rather than careful indoor handling, although buyers should still treat any waterproof claim with reasonable caution because long-term wear, impact, and sealing quality can vary in day-to-day use.
Specifications
FineTrack Mini 2 Air is a Bluetooth tracker for iOS devices, withh “up to 5-7 years” of battery durability. This is good, but you have to understand that there is one caveat – it is not replacable.
That battery claim is the one area where the product page deserves a more critical eye. A long battery life is great, especially if you do not want to think about maintenance, but a non-replaceable battery means the tracker is effectively disposable at the end of its life.

Use cases
The most obvious use cases are the usual ones: keys, wallets, bags, and luggage. UGREEN also emphasizes smart lost alerts, which notify you when the item moves too far from your phone, and Lost Mode, which lets you save contact information to help recover a misplaced item.

Where the FineTrack Mini 2 Air becomes more appealing is in multi-user households. With iOS 17 or later, the listing says location sharing can extend to family members, and the tracker can be shared with up to five people through Find My. That makes it more practical for shared vehicles, travel bags, and household essentials that more than one person may need to track.
Pairing
Pairing appears to be one of this tracker’s biggest selling points. Setup takes just one tap with an iPhone or iPad using Apple’s pre-installed Find My app, and that kind of native integration matters more than flashy features because a tracker that is hard to pair tends to get abandoned quickly. Simple press and hold the center button of the tracker; and once it makes a sound, it’s ready for pairing on the Find My app.

This is also where the FineTrack Mini 2 Air gains a lot of value for iOS users. Because it works within Find My, the experience should feel familiar rather than forcing users into another app ecosystem. That lowers the barrier to entry and makes the product especially easy to recommend to people who simply want something that pairs well and easily using Find My.
Range
UGREEN does not provide a clear numeric Bluetooth range, so expectations should stay grounded. However, UGREEN claims that the 110 dB alarm can be triggered when the map shows an item nearby and that the sound works within Bluetooth range, which suggests the close-range finding experience is meant to combine the app’s location view with an audible cue. This is more than enough.

In practical terms, that probably means the FineTrack Mini 2 Air is best understood as a Find My-compatible item tracker rather than a precision long-distance locator with detailed range promises. The strength is less about raw Bluetooth distance and more about integrating with Apple’s finding ecosystem, which is often the more useful feature in everyday tracking.
Verdict
The UGREEN FineTrack Mini 2 Air looks like a smart, budget-conscious alternative for people who already use iPhone or iPad and want multiple trackers at a reasonable price. It gets the essentials right with easy Find My pairing, family sharing, a loud alarm, and strong durability claims, and that makes it a very cost-effective tracker for iOS users.
It is not perfect. The non-replaceable battery is a real drawback, and the battery-life messaging on the listing is not as clean as it should be. Still, if your priority is affordable entry into Apple’s Find My ecosystem with a straightforward setup experience, the FineTrack Mini 2 Air comes across as a practical and mostly well-judged option.
