Google is reportedly developing a new AI agent codenamed “Remy,” designed to function as a “24/7 personal assistant” for day-to-day life.
Google AI Personal Assistant Codenamed “Remy”
Remy is described as “agentic,” meaning it can monitor user preferences and take actions on their behalf. Early descriptions suggest that the tool is deeply integrated with Google services, allowing it to handle multi-stage workflows and automatically track “things that matter” to the user.

Moreover, the company has reportedly pivoted resources away from earlier browser-based automation projects, such as “Project Mariner,” to focus on more robust, “OpenClaw-like” systems that function as comprehensive digital partners.
Although it is currently in the early stages of development, Remy’s branding as a tool for “work and school” has fueled speculation that a public release could be on the horizon. Some analysts expect the company to provide a roadmap for its agentic AI future at the upcoming I/O conference later this month.
