Apple has announced the schedule for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which runs from June 8 to June 12 and will spotlight the latest tools, technologies, and features across its platforms. The event will open with the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union to give developers an early look at updates which include AI advancements and new software and developer tools.
Conference Opening
WWDC26 begins on June 8 with the Keynote at 10 a.m. PDT. The opening presentation will be streamed on apple.com, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel, with on-demand playback also available afterward. At 1 p.m. PDT, the Platforms State of the Union will follow with a deeper look at new features, APIs, and technologies designed to help developers build across Apple platforms.
Hands-On Learning
Throughout the week, Apple will offer more than 100 video sessions focused on tools, technologies, and design. Those sessions will be available through the Apple Developer app, website, YouTube channel, and bilibili. Apple will also publish curated guides to help developers navigate the biggest announcements by platform and topic. Developers can also join Group Labs from Tuesday through Friday.
These live online presentations and Q&A sessions will be led by Apple engineers and designers, with topics ranging from Apple Intelligence and developer tools to design, graphics and games, and machine learning. Apple experts will also be available on the Apple Developer Forums to answer questions.
In-Person Activities
Apple will welcome more than 1,000 developers, designers, and students to Apple Park on June 8 for an in-person celebration. Then there’s the Apple Design Awards, which recognize craft, creativity, and technical expertise in the developer community.
This year’s 36 finalists span six categories: Delight and Fun, Inclusivity, Innovation, Interaction, Social Impact, and Visuals and Graphics.
Student Recognition
Apple is also continuing its support for emerging creators through the Swift Student Challenge. This year, 350 winners were honored, including 50 Distinguished Winners who have been invited to Cupertino for a special three-day experience during WWDC week.
