Lenovo ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept and Legion Pro Rollable Concept – CES 2026
Lenovo ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept
The ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept builds on PC designs like the ThinkPad X1 Fold and the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable AI laptop as it transforms from a 13.3-inch device to a near 16-inch laptop vertically. This offers users over 50% more screen real estate without having to carry around a full 16-inch notebook.

The new Lenovo ThinkPad concept device features Swipe to X touch gestures and voice controls to easily launch apps and switch modes on command or a stroke of a finger.
It also has a transparent 180-degree Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover developed in collaboration with Corning to ensure durability.
Moreover, it has AI-driven features like live translation, voice assistant, multi-modal, and lid-closed interactions.
Legion Pro Rollable Concept
Meanwhile, the Legion Pro Rollable Concept is designed for esports athletes with its up to 24-inch display.
The concept laptop boasts a rollable Lenovo PureSight OLED Gaming display that rolls out from both ends using a dual-motor, tension-based design. The tensioning system keeps a consistent tautness across the OLED panel.

The display starts at 16 inches in Focus Mode and expands to 21.5 inches in Tactical Mode. When esports athletes need to compete, there’s the full 24-inch Arena Mode. This allows esports athletes to travel around with a smaller device.

This proof of concept is based on the Legion Pro 7i with an Intel Core Ultra processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU. It also features Lenovo AI Engine+, powered by the Lenovo LA Core (LA1 + LA3), which features real-time Scenario Detection to boost FPS and optimizes resources for peak performance.
We don’t have our hopes up for seeing these concept products being mass-produced, as with most concept devices. However, Lenovo already has rollable laptops in the market today, so these might be more feasible.
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
